About Us

KEVCO was a business created while Kevin and Barb Bolin were brokers at RE/MAX Advanced, Inc. When Kevin began to sell investment properties to investors not interested in managing the properties themselves, they asked for recommendations for professional companies to handle their accounts. Having gone to college at Colorado State University and having dealt with property management companies as a tenant, Kevin did not have any recommendations. That is when Kevin and Barb began to manage the accounts themselves. In 2003, the number of tenants coming in to pay rent overwhelmed the reception staff at RE/MAX Advanced, so Barb opened a separate office called KEVCO Real Estate Investments & Property Management to handle the growing number of property management accounts.

KEVCO brokers are well equipped for mobile operations because real estate happens out of the office. The aforementioned use of Microsoft's Exchange Server and the integration of the Palm Computing Platform on the Treo 650 keeps our brokers connected while out of the office. Real time chat programs on the Treo that can speak with KEVCO's computers keep a constantly available communication flow between the office and brokers in the field. Microsoft Outlook is used extensively by both employees and brokers at KEVCO and all of the information is available to the brokers in the field through tight software integration. Although our technology and marketing resources are advanced, they would be ineffective without a knowledgeable, professional, and capable staff.

Kevin Bolin (Broker/Owner): Kevin Bolin began his real estate career at RE/MAX Advanced, Inc. in Fort Collins on January 1st , 2000. KEVCO Property Management

The property management side of KEVCO began purely as a service for Kevin's investment clients providing them with a turn key, hands off real estate investment solution. Through referrals and sales, KEVCO's property management accounts grew almost two fold every year. KEVCO has an above average per bedroom rental rate and a below average vacancy rate for our properties (3-5% vs. a market average of 16%). KEVCO specializes in student and pet friendly properties and the staff is what differentiates KEVCO from the other companies in Northern Colorado .

Barb Bolin : Barb started as a broker associate at RE/MAX Advanced, Inc. in 2001. She was a successful broker at RE/MAX, excelling in working with first time home buyers and relocation buyers. In 2003, Barb left RE/MAX to open a new business entitled KEVCO Real Estate Investments & Property Management which handled all of the property management accounts that Kevin and Barb were receiving through their extensive dealings with real estate investors. It began in 2003 with around 50 property management accounts. Today, Barb Bolin has used her knowledge, expertise, and ability to communicate with people and has grown the property management division of the business to almost 200 professionally managed properties.

Chelsea : Chelsea joined Kevco part-time in March of 2003 while attending CSU.  After graduating from CSU in December of 2006 with a Business degree in marketing, she decided to make a career with the knowledge she gained from her part time experience.
